Life
We support the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). They help us to understand where our work makes a difference. They also act as guiding principles for our business and our services and product innovation roadmap.
Sustainability is embedded into every part of our business. We deliver positive change for our people, our planet and society through the work that we do in combination with our responsible and ethical approach to our operations.
Our people are the most valuable element of our business. We are committed to providing a safe, healthy and inclusive workplace where our employees can be themselves and achieve their full potential.
RSK Group is a global leader in the delivery of environmental and engineering solutions. With its headquarters in the UK, RSK works around the world to deliver an unrivalled range of services, either as stand-alone projects or as large, integrated multidisciplinary solutions. Our projects are supported by pragmatic advice, forward-thinking engineering, cutting-edge innovation, digital solutions and best-in-class delivery.
We are proud to be a Real Living Wage employer, demonstrating our commitment to fair pay and the wellbeing of our people. At WRc, every colleague earns a minimum hourly rate significantly above the current Government minimum for those aged 21 and over.
Unlike the Government’s ‘National Living Wage’, which is based on median earnings, our rate aligns with the independently calculated Real Living Wage. Set by the Living Wage Foundation, this rate reflects the true cost of living across the UK and London, ensuring our employees are better supported in meeting everyday expenses.
The Living Wage Foundation is at the forefront of a movement uniting employers, employees, and communities who believe in fair pay and sustainable standards of living. By partnering with them, we are helping to raise employment standards and create a workplace where everyone can thrive now and in the future.
WRc is a Centre of Excellence for Innovation & Growth that is trusted globally to deliver innovative sustainable solutions. Our dedicated team care about delivering a positive legacy in partnership with our clients. The journey started almost 100 years ago in 1927 as the Water Pollution Research board for the government, and over many years evolved to undertake a growing number of research projects covering all aspects of water and wastewater supply, treatment and catchment management.
WRc was privatised alongside the water industry in 1989, and since then has operated as an independent consultancy. During this time, the company has expanded its client base now operating across different sectors including water, environment, gas, industrial and resource managements. WRc continues to be trusted by regulators, utility providers and their supply chains to deliver solutions which move the industries we serve forward.
In 2020, WRc was pleased to become part of RSK Group. RSK is a leading integrated environmental, engineering and technical services business providing end-to-end services to help their clients achieve aspirations in a sustainable and efficient manner.
