Event date: 08 Oct 2024
Read moreArup and WRc are proud to stage the Wet Networks series of events, supporting new collaborations to enable a broader innovation ecosystem.
Wet Networks showcases new ideas and technology to help transform the way we manage water. Join us from 5pm - 8.30pm on 29th February 2024 at our next Wet Networks event, in person or virtually. The theme will be 'Innovation to adapt to the impacts of climate change'.
The recent COP28 climate conference in Dubai highlighted how most of the impacts of climate change will be felt through water – too much, too little, too polluted.
Whilst nearly 90% of climate mitigation is energy related, 90% of climate adaptation is water related. By fostering innovation, those of us working with water can create a more sustainable and resilient future, mitigating, and adapting to, the effects of climate change and promoting environmental stewardship.
Our next Wet Networks event on Thursday, 29 February focuses on the role of innovation in water to help communities to survive and thrive in the face of climate change. The event is a great opportunity to meet and network with key players and innovative thinkers within the water sector. Our Chair Mark Smith (RSK Group) will be accompanied by Dr Gina Tsarouchi (HR Wallingford), Dr David Sarphie (AquAffirm) and Patrick Beckett (BioFiltro), who will be amongst those sharing their insights on water innovation and climate resilience.
Thursday 29th February 5.00 pm – 8.30 pm with refreshments at Arup's office, 8 Fitzroy Street, London, W1T 4BQ.
