Led by Dr Austen Buck, WRc's Director of Water, Environment and Scientific Services and an experienced lecturer and trainer, this engaging course provides staff with the fundamental knowledge to ensure the quality of water for potable supply; from sources and infrastructure impacts to regulations and mitigation strategies.
Following this 3-day session, attendees will be able to: Identify diverse water sources and how they can impact water quality; Understand of how assets in the water distribution system can impact water quality; Follow regulations and best practice for the monitoring and sampling of relevant water quality parameters and how these are reported; Apply mitigation strategies are when water quality is compromised; and, Understand how customer complaints should be handled.
Who can benefit?
Attendees may include early-career water quality scientists, analysts and network operators technicians for water supply companies. Also, early or graduate consultants, water safety planners and regulatory officers.
